What does Sunu Hair mean?Sunu is the wolof word for “our”, wolof being the most spoken language in Senegal. Sunu Hair Salon can be roughly translated to mean, “Our Hair Salon”

Do you have a cancellation policy?We’d appreciate it if you would notify us prior to the appointment, as it’s of upmost importance that we make sure spots are available for clientele. However, you will not be penalized for being absent.

Should I wash my hair before a braiding service?We strongly recommend that you shampoo, blow dry and refrain from applying any extraneous hair product (such as oils, leave-in-conditioners, gels etc ). However, we also provide services for shampoo, and will apply any necessary products ourselves.

Can I wash my hair while it’s braided?Depends on the type of hair and the style, for more questions on maintenance please ask a stylist!

Do you have any discounts for kids and/or senior citizens?We do. For kids under 13 and senior citizens over 65, call for more details.

What happens if I’m late for my appointment?If you think you’ll be at least 15 minutes late please notify us prior, please keep in mind you’ll receive whatever stylist is available at the time of your arrival.

Do you have early/late appointments?Yes, any appointment before or after hours will have an additional 30 dollars charge.

What’s the last customer (for the day)?It’ll depend on the style and how long it will take. More time-consuming styles may not be accepted if it’s late even if we are still open.

Is there a charge for extra-short hair?If the hair is less than an inch and half, there’s a 30 dollar charge.
